Pollination: Beyond the Bloom
Wow wee wee wow, you all really brought the bee love last Friday night for our Spring Gala, Pollination: Beyond the Bloom !!
After a large handful of fits and starts, finding the right sweet sauce recipe for the right fundraiser in a post-pandemic world has not been easy.
But, by Jove I think we’ve got it!!
The Enclāve Studio Collective Space + Spring + Bee Friendly Wine + Local Food + Gala Dress-Up Party + DJ Sparklepants = Our Community Coming Together to Support Their Favorite Women-Led Grassroots Bee Conservation Nonprofit
Good times were had by all, and we raised nearly $2,000. A small lode compared to our giant fundraisers of yore (back in the twenty-teens), but we have ideas to boost fundraising capacity in coming years, and are truly grateful for every penny.
YES!! We will be hosting another spring gala at Enclave in 2026, so start thinking about your ensembles now
So much gratitude for everyone who came out, dressed up, dressed down, asked me a million bee questions (which I loved answering), voted on your favorite Bee Habitat in Cyanotype test prints, drank wine, danced, laughed, piled in for group photos, pulled wine, donated and just really, truly had fun.
Also big gratitude for our sponsors: Evergreen Bank, Ashland Food Co-op, Medford Food Co-op, Shop-n-Kart, Black Bird, Rouge Creamery, Mariah Vineyards, Weisinger Family Winery, Troon, Sound & Vison Wines, and our board members that donated wine and their time to help the event run smoothly start to finish.
Thank you to Danielle Kelly, aka DJ Sparklepants, for showing glitter and beats down on us from your loft, and for decorating the whole entire space with the most impressive disco ball collection I’ve ever seen.
Thank you, Jefferson Farm Kitchen, for preparing delicious, beautiful, and nutrient dense food for our guests.
Thank you, Jefferson Public Radio and Ashland Gallery Association, for helping us get the buzz out around the region.
Thank you to my studiomates for showing up and showing off your creations on the theme, Pollination: Beyond the Bloom. Especially Magdalena, who bought tickets to the gala for her family and also donated 10% of her art sales from the evening!
And finally! Big ups to my Co-Director, Ginelle, I couldn’t do any of this without you – and nothing would be nearly as fun
