WAS Conference Highlights: Talk Bees on the Crest of a Rapid
What better way to kick off the WAS Conference weekend than an exhilarating trip down the Rogue River with one of North America’s topmost rated whitewater rafting companies? We don’t think there is one!
We’ve teamed up with Momentum River Expeditions to give WAS Conference attendees the next Conference Highlight: the chance to enjoy a guided tour down the Rogue River with knowledgeable guides who have a minimum of 5 years experience (many have over 15!) and enthusiasm for sharing both their love of the river and passion for the outdoors. The stretch of river we’re going to be headed down, the “Nugget”, is mostly mild and great for beginner rafters, allowing for a slower pace and appreciation of the beautiful wildlife that fills Southern Oregon, while also getting to start off the weekend connecting with those around you through a fun and shared adventure.
And for those wanting a bit more thrill, ask your guide to hit the white water head on! This slice of the Rogue River is dotted with Class I-III rapids. If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to get some queen breeding advice while navigating the line of a Class III whitewater rapid, this is your chance!
The Rogue River offers such a breathtaking wildlife experience that it stands as one of the eight charter members of the National Wild and Scenic River System. So sign up, don your sunscreen and get excited to paddle with your fellow attendees of the WAS Conference.
Not to mention the opportunity to flow with our next featured speaker Stuart Anderson, co-founder of the “FlowHive” kickstarter sensation. For a spotlight on Stuart, stay tuned for our next blog!
Add on this adventure when you register for WAS, last day to sign up for the river trip is June 21st!
