Melanie Kirby is an interdisciplinarian weaving apiculture, art, science, and culture to promote mindful stewardship. She has been keeping bees professionally for close to 3 decades and specializes in longevity-based bee breeding.

Melanie is a tribal member of Tortugas Pueblo which inspires her collaborations across landscapes and cultures encouraging biodiversity conservation and resiliency.

Melanie is fascinated with epigenetics and how cultural stewardship is connected across generations. She is a writer, consilience researcher, educator, artist, mother, and National Geographic Explorer.
