Board Secretary

Bridget earned her Bachelor’s degree in Captive Wildlife Care and Education from Unity College in Maine, gaining hands-on experience through work at wildlife refuges, nature centers, zoos, and animal rehab facilities. She has long had an interest in bees and this led her to volunteer at a community garden, apprentice with a beekeeper, and later manage hives of her own.

Her career in conservation spans over a decade and includes 7.5 years as a zookeeper. She began at a zoo in Oregon, then moved to New York, and finally landed in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem to work at the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center (GWDC), where she became Lead Keeper and a founding member of the conservation and research team. She also served as a liaison for GWDC’s Zoo-Park Partnership with Yellowstone National Park. After returning to the East Coast, Bridget continued as GWDC’s Conservation Coordinator and co-founded the Wildlife Restoration Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to restoring North American flora and fauna.

Now settled in New Hampshire, Bridget has embraced a new passion—caterpillars. As part of a New England-based nonprofit focused on conservation education, she uses local caterpillars to connect people with nature and foster appreciation for biodiversity and full ecosystems. Her work aligns with her personal goal of deepening her knowledge of pollinators, developing conservation initiatives, and sharing her expertise through research and outreach.
